ugj - true. The way I see it is - pay for working 8 hours, then OT for the additional 4 hours - then the additional holiday pay. So, yeah, it's not actually 2.5x pay - but close. Good point though, you are correct in the way it calculates.

@oyi well "highly" educated really only counts for grad school and beyond. Educated maybe. And that really depends on the college. If you went to a State school, those degrees really are nothing more than a high school diploma.

phone calls home? My family is visiting my in NY, going to Niagara Falls even - I have Sat/Sun off. Was going to take Monday off - but like the idea of 2.5x my pay!

EWA'S in our area are getting 2 days off, they can drive 14 hours home, hug the sister/wife and kids and begin the trip back. Hardee's BBQ and a Bud tall boy for the ride is payed for by the company.

Vz trapped us with big dollars, working 60 hrs a week gets to be the norm , thats why so many of us are enjoying this.

Hopefully verizon is getting there harpoons ready.
