Saw many post from EWA's talking down to Union workers about how easy they can transition to another job. The corporate business model must change. When I discovered this site, AT&T was laying off thousands. It bothers me that forums like this have to exist at all. The mood on the AT&T side was horrible. Is this the kind of society we want? Job security is nothing more than a myth that last's from quarter to quarter. The CEO investor class is filled with megalomaniacs who don't give a rats a$$ about this country or the future. This is corporate greed run a muck and must end. The people need to stand up middle management included! That's my rant, I'm out!

If you don't believe me, make a fake resume that has Java and oracle/db2 on it. You'll get called that day.
Jobs are not easy to come by. The unemployment rate is BS connected to low paying minimum jobs and those that quit looking for work. I feel for any EWA that will be RIF'd. I do hope that the underlying message of American jobs here message resonated with voters. We need high paying jobs here for our kids and our own futures. I know some EWA's wont look at it this way but in a way the UNION fight for American jobs was your fight too. Even if you were too chicken to participate and gave into the corporate bullying you experienced in the last 43 days by busting your assfor productivity number that were and still are unrealistic. I do software development. I can find a new job in 1-2 days. Demand is high and I get recruiters calling me once in a while asking if I have friends looking for work.

Well, look at it this way. If they lay us off, I at least know I have a backup career in outside plant work. And apparently you don't need much experience to do well!
