There has been no,word of talks breaking down. Actually the complete opposite. Regional bargaining has been going well in DC. Ignore the trolls trying to make it look like the opposite. True, there has been an uptick of EWAs in some areas but less in others. I'm EWA and all we are seeing are some relief people showing up. This was,normally scheduled.

From what i've seen, OPs assumption might be correct. At the garages i've been at, there is a noticeable uptick in new faces and EWAs are beginning to drop off.

More likely it's going to be mentioned in passing that phase 2 is now in place and we will start hearing about phase 3 (EWA moving back to bau and union jobs replaced with temps).

The negotiations were going ok until early this week and fell apart. The company is now more focused on moving forward without the union than ever.

Although there may be no end in sight to all of this, there's no way the company and the union won't at least have some token people sitting at a table from now until forever. Simply getting up and stomping out would not look good for either side.

Anything is possible at this point... I would bet the union would walk before the company does though...

Company will continue to meet fulfilling legal obligations. Might be over by Christmas. How long does unemployment last? Should help some but definitely not all the brotherhood.
