Stance: contractors will take months to get trained and up to speed
Reality: many of these contractors are retired techs. Almost all have experience and if it does somehow take months to get to speed, it's the same amount of time you guys are prepares to walk. In the end, the same time has passed but you have effectively been replaced. Each day that passes is a day they get better and trained to do what they've already been doing. You are replaceable
Stance: the company is losing money
Reality: you can't in one post talk about this enormous cash flow they have making billions on billions a year and in the next say they can't afford to lose some. What they lose is pennies and is an investment because who you ARE being replaced with is enormously cheaper than you
Stance: EWA people are dumb and useless
Reality: non union workers are highly skilled in their craft and again many came from the outside plant and have working knowledge already of your jobs and each day that passes are getting more proficient at doing your jobs. You can laugh if you want but it doesn't change the fact that it's true
Stance: the company is against the wall. Bent over a barrel. Ready to break.
Reality: the company has a bunch of brainiacs who have been dedicated to nothing else but this right here. Do you honestly believe they didn't expect you to turn it down. They played to your weakness, why else would they make it so clear that it was the final offer. Because they walked you to the river knowing youd jump in.
This has all been planned out.
Call me all the names you want. Talk about my wife. Tell me how dumb I am. In the end, your jobs are still being replaced by others seeking employment.
You can and are being replaced.
