Here is where the union can work with the company. If the company wants to save money by having Sunday be straight time for those so scheduled, then maybe the union can work it so seniority is used to determine who gets the schedules that are less desirable. That's how the FAA does it. A newer guy may have to work more odd shifts or weekends, but over time he or she will gain the seniority to get a better schedule.
