just remember that we'll be here to comment as you cry about being unfairly rif'd in the next month or two. Just as back in December, the big difference is that we'll be back on the job with a good contract that we fought for and won. You on the other hand will be unemployed and comparing notes about the lack of quality jobs that are available, despite all of your self proclaimed talents, education and intelligence.

Well said TZX. There are a few rotten management and a few rotten craft but al in all most of both are good people. Everybody on my team is great. They did not want to walk but did what they have to. I also have to do what Im doing. I do see the worst side of people on this blog though.

I disagree. I do not think you will be back on the job with a contract any time soon. You walked, took your chances and now the members could suffer financially because of the Union's slick promises. The business is dying and VZ does not want it, they are not going to give a 1970s era contract to a business they prefer to get rid of. No one is enjoying seeing anyone out of work or harmed as the previous poster suggests. It's only 2 weeks, but with no path for resolution in site, that could easily become 2 months.

It is nauseating to read the comments on here from both sides. We have become disgraced human beings when we take joy in someone losing their jobs but it doesn't even stop there...you take joy n someone killing themselves and committing suicide? This is the most awful, most despicable thing to write and it is cowardice to write this on an anonymous message board.
Remember this important fact. None of you are at that bargaining table. One day, this strike will end and you will all need to work together again. I make no claims to be a perfectly upright and perfectly flawless human being, but I would never write that I rejoice in someone ending their their life or losing their job, even if it was an anonymous post. Perhaps the people writing these awful words need to take a look in the mirror. Are you seriously proud of yourself? Look inward first and be the person you wish to see in others.
Good luck to everyone, union and management. I seriously hope that this gets resolved soon. It's bringing out the very worst in everyone.
Just hang tough, sometimes you have to fight, not all understand that. If you have been handed everything in life fighting for something is a foreign concept. Sacrifice for the good of all, it's a battle. We live in a me, me, me, world, have each others back.
Some will get Rif'd, sure. That is the new norm in the economy. We just don't walk around like we are entitled to a job. Try a work ethic instead of a strike numbnuts
