Yet Again!....Another Brilliant Choreographed Play By the King's Of Corporate Con Artist's

Verizon has done it again! A beautiful played move to try and break the Union. Releasing these Last and "best" prerecorded videos with obviously no intentions of negotiating, on the eve of the expiration of 39,000 medical benefits. This is planned and Choreographed to a tee. They moved nothing off there offers, It's smoke and mirrors, They have attached trap doors and false walls with strings attached to every offer. Looks Good? the member might think. Look closer...these are the pathways to your demise. Verizon is no fool, and there banking you are. They are not going to give you anything. Releasing this today is hoping that you will be lured away from your Union. They are failing miserably at the EWA program, and will need you back.....Go back on your terms NOT THERE'S. Remember....They fooled NYC with there FIOS Build out contract. Do you think there not going to try and fool you?

How can they declare an impasse on the workers who already are out on strike?

Impose it in an empty garage where no one is there? Post it for all to see..oh wait..they are out on strike

An impasse can be declared when the union is still at work, which can lead to a strike.. It cant be "imposed" on an existing strike.. I mean thats the point of a strike, and the strike was called before any "impasse" was declared.

So at this point, its purely "negotiating"..

Think about it, the union cant call another "strike" while there is a current strike.

So sorry union haters, your internet labor law degree just got trashed

I just watched the videos put out by the company. I have 25 years of being lied to by management and having smoke blown up my assby them. I can now fluently fart smoke signals in Cherokee, Chippewa, Sioux, Blackfoot, Seminole and Iroquois. Does that qualify me to get additional pay for being bilingual ? Back to the drawing board Marky Marc, and fudge packing mudge.

Verizon helping me? That's like them stealing the eye out of my head, and then telling me...you look good without it.

No, it's NOT.

It triggers LEGAL RAMIFICATIONS. Quit being EMOTIONAL about it. You think Verizon said that to try to be SUPER FINAL?

It's a labor law term trigger to declare an impasse. Wake up. This isn't intimidation - it's literally the way that an impasse is declared in labor law. Your read is ignorant of the law and you don't want to be ignorant of it when you're voting! Google this and become aware of the consequences!

Jesus, you're so ready to be defensive that you aren't being thoughtful about this. It's far too easy for a union to take advantage of its members who are so ready to just be angry at the company without being educated on what is going on and how the words chosen MAKE A LEGAL DIFFERENCE.

You don't even realize when someone is trying to f---ing help you.

The Annual Meeting should be an entertaining event.

Calling it the “last, best and final” is just a tired way of trying to intimidate our members into accepting a contract that we can’t live with. It hasn’t worked in the past, and it won’t work now.

Yes, it speaks volumes but it isn't saying what you think.

The fact that the videos were done ahead of time reinforces the fact that the positions taken in them are long held and firmly held. What's that mean? That they capture things Verizon feels it can not budge on. Why is that important? Because it reinforces the 'best, last, final" part of the offer. That's important because it begins the process for an impasse being declared.

The union has to vote on this and my guess is that the union will vote to ratify it. If they do not ratify it and an impasse is, in fact, declared, then union member who work will work under a prior company offer.

If you're a union member and you do not know this, then you deserve to. Demand that your union leaders tell you what this offer from Verizon means and what you stand to lose. Don't let union leaders screw you over.

Hang in there, everyone.

"Last and "best" prerecorded videos"

I have to say, that really does speak volumes. Once again Verizon senior management steals defeat from the jaws of victory.

Meanwhile VZ is buying AOL and Comcast is buying Dreamworks for a $billion less than VZ paid for AOL.

What a bunch of losers.
