Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Union Is A Business Too

It's really quite simple math. The Union is dependent on the dues it collects. If the workers are not working then the dues are not being collected, and if there is a lock out, that is bad for the Union...in the long run.

The union will get back what they lost. Remember last strike.

Will be no lockout.

If you want to come back, it will be under the BAFO.

Why lockout, and give VZ bad PR (had enough already).

Outside the NE, no one cares about the strike.

VZ put the offer out on the web. The devil is in the details of course, and how long do you have to drive, to avoid an overnight stay. 3 hrs is too long, 1 hr, is not. (IMHO).

Tweek that portion, and add $100.00 per day comp, and see if the union jumps.
