I'm in the Ocala, Fl call center....
Calls are back to back all day every day, and we are still hiring reps and having training classes.
However, I know for a fact about 10 employees in random positions have been given a surplus notice, and I hear the team managers have been talked to about the possibility & are waiting to find out if they will be affected.
What you expect, been bin the South East, Cuts,cuts,& cuts..before anyone else
The ocala center referenced is wireless service & sales...it sells uverse products.
People need to be specific when talking about se call centers.. Wireless? Telco,uverse,dtv? Or support? The ones for sure in trouble are sales centers in see who sell telco, uverse, dtv products.
It is inbound sales/service
I'm in one of the Southeast inbound sale centers and its little to no calls coming through yet we're told that our center is in a great position and will not be one of the centers that's going under due to performance, however it's a very different story from wireline. They are surplus!
Is this center for inbound sales? Or support non direct customer contact?
