Two years can be an awfully long time, it can also hold back some of the proposed and planned RIFs.
One thing that this strike, once again made abundantly clear is that a manager with a week of training cannot replace a craft worker with months and months of training and years and years of field experience.
And who knows, Google might even reach out and buy Verizon in that time.

making bold assumption here that the wireline side of house will still exist inside Verizon in 2 years. Doesn't really seem likely with the continuous movement 'away' from landline activities. just an opinion mind you
May as well take the contract and be covered for 2 years, then deal with new owners .....
No amount of striking will bring back the glory years. Need to work with the company to get the best outcome for all. Don't work with the company and the union will have to help you find new jobs. Short term hurt to the company but well worth it in the long run.
