You union guys get the Superbowl Ring for this battle. No one ever gets all that they want in a negotiation. The company wanted and end to the union, but you beat them back. Many managers supported your efforts, and you guys played a great game and never really over played your hands. It is time for you to celebrate, not try to rub the company's nose in it. You don't want any back lash either. Let the company go home and lick their wounds, and pray for Google. At least they know the value of wireless AND fiber.

Personally I'll take the money. I know it hurts VZ to pay out that much and that makes me happy.
Verizon was really trying to crush the unions, but they didn't. The CWA and IBEW and the court of public opinion kept that from happening. Time for the unions to score a notch on their swords, then sheath them. They won. Humiliating your opponent, like a late hit, is not considered good form in America.

At this juncture I dont really see the strike continuing in its current form. At least that is how it is being communicated internally at vz You take the relatively generous offer or the company moves on from the unions, you are unemployed, and vz deals with the PR and financial pains for some time.

Nah. That is how successful negotiating works. You cannot completely humiliate the company, much as they deserve it.
The unions fought hard for what they needed and won that. The company held onto the one thing that they needed and won that. But what the company, in specific Lowell, wanted was to crush the union. On that score he did not win.
