People posting have no clue as to data technology somehow they are experts? I'm a 20yr. EXPERT in the industry nothing and let me repeat that nothing compares or even comes close to fiber optics FTTP and probably wont anytime in the next few decades. You see what the company Verizon is touting as the better option is the better option ( for them ) cheaper to deploy cheaper to maintain but less reliable and less secure but the price will remain the same for the consumer and no it wont be available in all areas its limited as to where it can be deployed. Sounds like a bargain doesn't it Verizon thinks so always look at the fine print that's where Verizon plans are conceived. So this so called antiquated technology sounds like a state of the art idea now doesn't it. Please rebuttals are permitted I have many many many very recent articles from scholars is telecom waiting for this opportunity to present this case. FYI I'm not associated with Verizon, just a smart consumer.

Nothing raises skepticism about the legitimacy of a claim more than someone professing to be an "expert". Gas-bag, blow-hard, egomaniac, narscissist all come to mind but expert not so much. check your sh-- know-it-all.
What a load of crap.
Started back in the early 70's with main frame computers. Nothing like a good solid wired connection be it fiber or copper wire. To many caveats to wireless....may work and may not. Be it Ethernet or bus and tag, hard wired is the way to go. Wireless for fun and games, when going gets serious I have wired entire house and garage Ethernet and it flies.
Sounds like a geico commercial, tell me something I don't know.
Poster is right. And they will never reach wireless speeds close to fiber to prem. And can we get away from the insults . Manager or craft we are in this together. I am craft walking the line and have nothing against the managers that have no choice but to be in my garage. Not that they have any idea what they are doing, they do not. And i would rather they didn't have the time to learn. They will learn if given the time. So stop the insults and lets get back to real info.
I have a little local ILEC gives me 100 meg fiber for 50 bucks without the big Verizon plan. That is the best.
