Does anyone have any good investment ideas with the buckets of EWA cash? I was thinking of investing in the stock market but the volatility has me a little worried. Thanks!

Save it and add it to YOUR RIF severance payout..THIS YEAR
If you have ANY debt with interest, shoot it there. Better to avoid paying any out any interest first and foremost IMO. 401k is another idea, but as other poster stated, locks it up for a while.
Paying a mortgage down faster will by far save the most money. If you make just one extra payment a year off your mortgage you cut the duration by years. Figure out how much interest you pay the bank I've the length of your loan and just imagine not paying that interest for 8 of those years. Could save hundreds of thousand dollars depending on how much you owe
@ola I can see credit card dept, but depending on your mortgage rate vs inflation rate, there could be much better ways to invest (as long as you're not already living beyond your means) I suggest having 3 months salary in savings before you start serious investments.
Have a friend that needed money and sold me an HK USC... it's discontinued, so won't go down in value... if Hillary is elected it'll be priceless! I also suggest precious metals... Gold & Silver are fine, but steel & lead are also good investments when prices are good!
Pay down your mortgage or credit card debt.
Be careful upping your 401k. Once you put in in tax free it can't come out till your 62 unless you like paying taxes and a penalty. If you might need it I suggest something more liquid.
A really nice unemployment insurance policy.
I'd use you extra $150.00 to get a six pack and some lottery tickets. That way when you lose, you can drink your sorrows away. Like you did every day B4 the strike.
Hike up your 401k %. Will help you save some from taxes and Verizon has to match up to 6%...
Save it for your rif, your going to need it soon,
Savings account....few grand is not much to invest
