Can't to see part two: Why corporations are even worse for America. Oh wait, he's not gonna write that one is he?
Please, this guys is a hack!
Point 1: unions are wrecking industries. How is that true? Verizon makes $1.8 billion a month, 39 billion over 3 years, profit. Hardly ruining Verizon. As for auto? What is failed to be mentioned is the executives decisions to ramp up production of huge, gas guzzling trucks and not adjust to the times like other foreign companies. Poor decisions up top ruin the worker and somebody has to pay for stupidity. Just like Verizon is trying to do now. Notice a lot of rif's anybody?
2 unions are ruining education: I beg to differ. What is ruining education is poloticians. Common core was pushed into the public school systems. If a town/city/municipality doesn't teach common core they are denied critical funds from the Feds. Isn't Bill Hates a big contributed to the spread of common core? That's right, dumb down our children and fly in cheaper labor from India or any other low paying country.
3 unions are costing billions: umm yeah. That's right. These people are being paid a living wage that was bargained for. What's wrong with paying teachers, police, firemen, and the rest of the people who keep your cities running? To take a page out of some haters books. Quit your job if you aren't happy and become in of the public servants if you want more money. Those f---ing bastard always fighting for what they feel is just. Damn unions!!!
4: unions are fundamentally undemocratic: I don't know bout all unions but o know for a fact that my Union has votes for president and executive boards and business agents and shop stewards all the time. Much more democratic than our own government. Same for other unions. I even got to vote to authorize our strike. A vote equals democracy. As far as working with politicians to further our cause... Well yeah of course we want people to be on our side for things. Doesn't everyone who votes for any official?
5 unions are bankrupting cities: this is pretty ironic considering every member of a union pays taxes on their salary like is required by law. Taxes pay for essential services and some non essential but at least they contribute to the greater good. Corporations like Verizon somehow make billions of dollars and somehow don't pay taxes? Who is bankrupting who? Corporate welfare costs this country much more that any Union ever will.
This article is a total hack job. It sounds like something right out of the rnc playbook written by Lowel McAdams. Why doesn't he mention the correlation between the fall of the middle class, the rise of the 1% and the decline of private sector union? Because he doesn't want to tell the truth! Wake up people.
So dispute what is in the article instead of resorting to name calling. The problem is you come up with the same propaganda you accuse "the company" of making. It's all part of the same hypocrisy
Sore Loser! take your lumps. Your agenda was from the side of the stock holder, get a life and fight Vz for their poor business decisions
