Verizon wants back at the bargaining table. EWA's work like dogs go back to desks with their tails between their legs could not stop the bleeding.

What all of you fail to realize is that most of the scabs and scab management are full blown alcoholics whose hearts and livers could shut down at any moment. The combination of getting almost no sleep, other than in their van during the day, being dehydrated from all the booze and the 85-90 degree days that will soon be here, is the perfect recipe for disaster. If the trouble tickets are backing up by the hundreds and no installs are being done when it's 65 and sunny, what makes you think it's going to get better when it's 90 degrees with 100% humidity?
On friday over 1/2 the union will cross. The other 1/2 who drink the cool aid and believe what there stewards are telling them will be rif'd The paper work is already in motion for the rif.

I have no problem working strike another two months. By than half the union will be back anyway. Go CWA stay out,you show us.
Some jobs are easier than others. For what they're paying me and picking up all of my meals and expenses I can run an auto tester on a provisioned circuit and then call a customer to make sure it's up over and over again for as long as they want to pay me 2.5x my normal pay for a REALLY long time.
I can keep this up for about another month, but once it gets real hot out... i will be missing my air conditioned cubicle.
Does it really matter who ask who to meet??? Hopefully we can get back to work with a good contract.... Verizon wins ....Union wins....customers win..

The company isn't losing anything. Wireline means nothing to them, and therefore unhappy FIOS customers mean nothing to them. It doesn't contribute to the company's bottom line in any significant way.
The only thing the company might be losing is some productivity among the management ranks.
As for the general public's perception of Verizon, they know there is a strike going on and more than half the population doesn't like unions. They've watched unions ruin the airlines and ruin the automobile industry (which is only still alive because they went bankrupt and screwed all their creditors). So any PR losses are negligible at best.

Why would anyone be getting collection calls after just two weeks? If that's the best that you can come up with why bother posting in the first place?
@H7OpJ4r-uym The company is losing FAR more than the union. They company is on the ropes and the EWA workers are embarrassing the company through no fault of their own. Face it the company got caught with their panties down. Now they risk not only losing wireline revenue, but wireless revenue. Their pitch to the millennials just got sideswiped by Bernie. Looks like the company needs the unions to stand down and clean up the EWA mess.
Sorry it was the union that asked for a meeting. They fear half their workers crossing over on Friday. Half will be working and half will be out. Major cluster f--- for union.

Perhaps, except the dejected EWAs got a paycheck and the associates who walked out, did not. Those EWAs are not getting collection calls from Wells Fargo and Countrywide. Good night buddy!
