Wireline accounts for 30% of revenue but only 6% of profits due to fcc accounting rules. When the rest of the company starts paying their fair share of managment costs, wireline will be very profitable even with union contracts. Its time for the rest of the company to move out of ma bell's basement....
Maybe layoffs wouldn't be necessary if the union contracts stopped sucking the life out of wireline.
OK...let's bring everyone back and raise prices to cover the extra cost. That'll fix it, right?
