H6dXdNh-ths Holy sh-- ! It took someone with experience to show your dumb assa dirty filter ? Damn that's some right on sleuthing going on there....I mean really your a manager too ???? Come on now. So the contractor told you that the filter change PM schedule was incorrect ? Isn't it the job of the managers to make sure there maintenance guys have a properly maintained PM schedule ? Sounds like the manager is the issue if the schedule is incorrect. Btw...dumb assare the mechanics allowed to change the scheduling of PMs? Are they allowed to add or remove equipment to the the PM schedules ? Are they allowed to update the PMs ? Is there even anyone in the pipeline for the mechanics to contact ?
BS OP! Until it is uncomfortable for you to fake doing actual EWA work, this strike will not end. Until the company understands that your EWA assignment is not what you signed up for, the strike will not end. Until the managers are to the point that they will no longer attempt to clear the work, the strike will not end. Until that point you are just another skummy scab. You made your bed, now lay in it.

For a moment I actually felt a bit of compassion for the EWArs that might have been caught up in this strike nonsense. I couldn't say if what I see here on this site is 99 percent BS but I know this comment isn't...since I've been at 111 main.
So now I personally couldn't care less about the bunch of ya.
I think they call us all managers, to avoid paying OT, in our regular jobs.
@ atr. For some reason Verizon calls all non union employees "management". I'm just a technician and not a manager. Seems like verizon calls us all management just to fuel the hostility.

@H6dXdNh-ths , then your not doing your job. A manager should be doing periodic checks and make sure work is done properly. For over a year now managers have been micro managing every aspect of all jobs being performed.
Its the physhology, its working. The proof is the replies in this and many other posts.
I'm on EWA as a mechanic and we have a contractor with us who has been doing this type of stuff for years.
He's said our buildings are horrible maintained. Fkin filters not even properly changed in right time frames. You guys do jack sh--. Our supervisor has now seen what a piss poor job you guys do.
Many management and union workers have good working relationships, and are friends. You have the a few that are extremists.
That's funny. What is yelling even if he's a replacement worker accomplishing? As you scream on your fat asswith a sign on your beer gut, that guy is going in making probably $40 an hour.
I can see that our temp supers are somewhat relived to have a group do orders, and then surpass normal quotas on day 4 with half assed training. It makes me wonder if all the complaints I see about how they are treated are self created because of how they act, behave, perform, not perform, etc. if the union is so great, why do their lives suck so at VZ so much? I am utterly astounded at what I am seeing and how our coworkers are treating us. They know the stakes beforehand. does the union itself create the " big brother" environment? I work for the same company and I have a manager and no one ever gets suspended from work or put on probation, etc.
I saw the worst looking mob at 111 main st in white plains. A group of rednecked pickets were sitting on portable chairs next to a beat up pick up truck. Some of the others looked like homeless people. I think they need to get back to work and get a gym membership, anger management counseling and low cost loans for liposuction.
The funniest thing is once this ends they'll happily go back to work after they screamed at their managers?
Union workers can't tell if they are management or replacement workers. How does management feel when their jobs are being done by H1B's ,then eventually lose their jobs. This board was full of posts by management not happy with the fact that Verizon destroying their lives.
I find it funny that they complain about how their work place became so much more hostile and stressful since 2011. I can't help but wonder if it had anything to do with their behavior on the picket line and all the bridges they burned. Their unprofessional behavior is astounding. Even I, who wants the union to win, will not treat them with respect ever again.
This my first go around and on EWA. I have never seen such animals in my life. Staring my team and yelling at us as we go into buildings as if we're some unforeseen creatures.
