@gd1 the strike has everything to do with the future of your job... If you got transferred 100 miles away it would hurt your family.. Would you want to be on loan for months at a time in hotels.. The strike is to secure a future with Verizon and receive good pay and benefits. Plus if we lose the strike you job could go away all together... stay on board!
Hanging on for another week or so but that's it then heading back. This strike is doing nothing for me or my family. Can't afford this strike.
I decided I'm crossing at the end of this week. This Union has done nothing for me but collect my Union dues. Tried calling them several times over the last couple of years and they won't even return my phone calls. They are playing games just like the company. They are no better.

By crossing You are crapping on every single person that sacrificed so you can have your job. Go ahead and cross you'll still be treated like garbage by your new manager and your co workers will treat you like a pariah.
Truth is if you cross you have no conviction and no soul. you're Teaching your children to never fight for anything...teach them to roll over and give up when things are tough...teach them that there is no greater good.... Teach them to lose. I don't know how this will play out but I know my heart will be clear and st peace knowing I didn't stab 39000 people in the back
