Please! All of Verizon safety guidelines are for CRAFT employees, and only enforced for disciplinary purposes. For instance, thirty day suspensions without pay for failure to wear safety glasses in a customers home while NOT performing hazardous work have been handed out by management. Six thousand dollar forfeiture! Who does this in corporate America to low level associates? Or any company for that matter? That should be a topic discussion in the media. This is the unions opportunity to address this and expose Verizon management for who the really are.

Verizon gave its employees domestic abuse training to ensure it's employees don't verbally or physically abuse their spouse or family members, while at the same time ignoring work place verbal and mental abuse perpetrated by it's low level management team members. Most of which lack the basic skill sets to deal with people, and lack the ability to be leaders.

There are hundreds if not thousands of these over the top forfeitures over the last 10 years. Give backs taken by the company in the form of monetary theft. Yes, flat out theft. What else would you call it, concern for safety? What other company exacts such god awful evil forfeitures that extend into the thousands. Many times these are first time offenders.

Verizon doesn't care about safety during a work stoppage, which is blatantly evident with these poorly trained and equipped EWA's. I just hope these EWA's survive Verizon's blatant disregard for their safety and their families concerns the their loved one coming home in one piece. Those that do will likely face a RIF in the near future.

Working unsafe? How would you feel if I sent you a picture of Douglas Lalima from Brooklyn? Was he working unsafely, or was it just a tragic accident? If you really see someone in harm'sway, you need to find a way to be humane and make sure they are safe. Vests, boots chocks that's all fair game, but not high voltage accidents. No way.

More like convicing these nice old ladies to switch to a more patriotic company like AT&T or T-Mobile where they won't be overcharged, and supporting a company that supports American workers.

I'd rather see you fall off of a pole or get fired, but since you are posting here, then you are not entrusted enough to take care of a customer. Or, just too much of a girly boy to be able to handle a strike.
