Really? Lets break this down. "The call center mgr layoffs are affecting all centers not just Joplin" False ATS centers not effected. and not just the Sue West org. All orgs under Lurie are going through this exercise, "mgr levels 1- 4". False AM's in Joplin not effected The site is not targeted to close. Stop spreading rumors you know nothing about. Sounds like its you who dont know what you are talking about. By the way they want to keep the AM's due to they are going to lose their director. The site has been reduced to Reps only and a few analyst who could do there job at home. Their building lease is also ready to expire renewing it would go against the 2020 vision.

As reported earlier. "As far as layoffs go the company went public in saying they are providing and expecting their employees to take training courses just so that they can say training was provided to employees to prepare them for the future. As useless and irrelevant as these courses may seem, the company will be monitoring who has been proactively logging in to Skillport, Udacity, Capabilities Evolution, LSO, etc. and completing the training. They will be using this to determine who is serious about sticking around for 2020 and beyond" If you want to transfer out anyway. Oh and you better be able to sell as well. The days of helping customers is over now its about selling the customer features and add ons they don't need.

Agree to the last post. Since 2014 we've been told that 1/3 of the company will be reduced. The layoffs are not consistent either. In the org I'm located in we've had (2) so far. One just in 1Q2016, it's also no telling who will leave. My thought is there will NOT be severance package all the way up to 2020, so if you are tagged maybe it's better sooner than later. Remember there is life outside of AT&T.

So you are confirming they are in fact laying off 3 - 4 managers in Joplin

Wow. "This is just a standard surplus." That says so much about the character of the company, in so few words.

When. Site is set to close they do not layoff 3 or 4 managers, they close the site - everyone is notified at once. The company has closed many sites this is just a standard surplus that will occur every year until 2020 and nota site closing.
