From the very beginning, the unions, which offered $200 million in concessions, have blocked any real mobilization of workers. Last week the CWA ordered 9,400 AT&T West workers in California and other states to continue working without a contract, thereby preventing a joint strike by telecom workers on both coasts.Far from being “friends” of the workers, the Democrats have spearheaded the deregulation of the telecommunications industry and provided billions in subsidies to Verizon, AT&T and other companies. In addition, the Obama administration has worked with corporate America to shift the cost of health care and pensions onto the backs of workers.

I heard 72,000 will cross by Tuesday, and that's added to the 48,000 that crossed Friday.
And 20,000 managers will be off of the payroll by the end of the year. I guess they had it coming to them.

Everyone expects numerous associates to report to work this Friday and the benefits expire. They are making plans to open additional work centers to handle the people leaving the picket line. The union leadership is now concerned support is faltering from their inability to get the majority of the users to support the strike.
4/29 and no end in site for the EWA staff to ever see there family.....Your the one's getting used and abused. Home every night with my family :)
