Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

Great to see Geoff taking the stage after Chris!

Richard, your bullshit rambling preacher days will be over soon! You add no value to this company. What's the matter...you get asked a question that you were not prepared for? You are so incredibly out of touch with the pulse of this company!

Geoff, hopefully Chris recognizes that you have way more to offer than the bullshit artist?

Belive me I know the drill as I saw it happen in ES for over 3 decades.

MattHell Marketing couldn't market the cure for cancer. Said it then & I say it now. I watched them cost reduce, play designer, over ship & over price what were once evergreen Brands. Hasbro is just waiting for MattHell to plummet even further so they can purchase it for less.

MattHell is doing nowhere fast. The Q1 propaganda was even funnier than most as the first question that was asked actually had Hasbro in the question. The very rich 3 Stooges hated that & it's going to get even worse as they have nothing on the horizon.

The Batman vs. Superman product looked like absolute crap & was super glued to the shelves. Still is. What Play Box? it should be called the Kitty Litter Box because that's what it filled with.

Trust me when I say from the bottom of my heart that as appealing as a two year cycle may sound, it only leads to massive cost reductions (because there's more time for the market to fluctuate), over thinking by upper management, and more opportunities for the morons in marketing to get to play dress up and pretend that they're designers. it's a heartbreaking two year endeavor. be grateful for what you have. the grass is not greener. it's yellower from being peed on constantly.

I wish my team had 2 years to design, develop, and produce a new product.

The product development cycle in ES was 1 year, a little less if a decent designer was sent out to HK to contribute on site. I didn't realize it took 2 yrs at FP but I guess FP has it's own system.

I've known Geoff since he arrived @ ES as a summer Marketing intern, liked him then as he was down to earth & spoke his mind in a straightforward way. Wasn't aloof like many others I knew there.

Can't say the same for Dickson.

FP core or NYC licensed hasn't been all that hot in a couple of years. Don't get started on your beatbo crap. It didn't so well that EA was exempt from layoffs and NYC has been floundering with poorly chosen properties and that lame asstrain with a face.

Actually, you no nothing about product development. The current line being worked on at FP is for 2018.

Impact 2 years out? You know nothing of product cycles.

Let's get the facts right. The impact of his leadership would have been approximately 2 years out, based on our product development cycle. This past years sales at FP was the best in years! Thank you Geoff, you unfiltered enthusiasm inspired creativity which drove great sales this past year!

I thought the stock just went from $22 to $32? Wasn't that under Richard?

If Goof was such a great Pres at FP, why were the numbers down so much during his reign? How did his inspiration translate to sales? Seems like it didn't.

Quit being so sensitive, ok? He keeps it real and he inspires. Geoff is approachable, he acknowledges people. He was one of the best presidents we had at FP. He gets it...he was all about inspiring us to innovate and create great products. I believe the stock would sore! It certainly hasn't done anything since Richard took over.

All it would take would be one conversation between Geoff and the investors and our stock would plummet like a rock off the Golden Gate Bridge. he is not the kind of person who's mouth is made for the masses.

Simply questions about the performance of Mattel are impossible for thes leaders to answer. Who gives &$@)) about green initiatives ! The rhetoric is thick and they are sticking to their story. Think , how can employees influence institutional share holders? That is the only way change can smack these leaders into acknowledging and acting on the real issues.. Great , another employee survey . How many years dies that buy the current leaders? There are new VP's in ES.
