Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Verizon Wireless Rumor more BIG changes happening in June??016

I was just asked by a co-worker if I knew anything about another round of BIG CHANGES happening for the Wireless side set for June of this year. Rumor has it will affect ALL channels. Perhaps more layoffs?? After the changes last fall that crept into 2016, I thought we were through the fire, but I guess not. Anyone have any info on this? Thanks.

I've been hearing rumors of another re-org and rif in ves/wireline during this same time period.(June/July aka midyear). Not sure of scope/amount of layoffs, but something I have heard more than once from multiple sources.

This is part of Civilization Jihad.

Verizon is INUNDATED with the culture. White women buy into this shit. The white male is the minority.

To the person who responded about comp, Thanks. That would make sense because mine has been stuck at same dollar value for at least 4 years if not more. When you consider inflation, cost of living, etc, my base monthly commission should be at least $200 - $300 more per month compared to 4/5 years ago. That means I have $2k-$4k less buying power than back then. I'm going backwards for same or more effort. Hope the change if it takes place is better, but if history has shown, I would bet not.

To the person who responded about the banks. Where should I look to keep tabs on bank activities? Are you talking to watch August for VZW alone or the economy as a whole? And how do bonds being called affect everything? Thanks.

Nah. Cellular technology becoming a commonplace commody will destroy Verizon. Not unlimited data.

Soon everyone will be selling wireless with a network strung together through a patchwork of WiFi, cellular and other technologies.

Remember when you used to buy music on a CD and that was the only choice? Kind of like that...

Remember the good old days when you paid different rates for voice by the minute plans? The ultimate downfall of Verizon and At&t is going to be when T-Mobile, Sprint and all other wireless carriers beat them to the punch and realize that just like unlimited talk & text, competitively priced, unlimited data, is the only offer necessary to bring in the business and keep the customer happy. Verizon and At&t will of course, try to continue to convince the public that it's worth paying out the wazoo to be on their "far superior networks." By the time they figure out that the only people believing this lie, is in fact themselves, it will be too late. While At&t MIGHT be starting to realize that this is the direction the wireless industry is heading and offering unlimited data plans in some markets when bundled with DirecTV, you can bet your bottom dollar that the world's worst business decision makers (a.k.a. the Verizon executive board) will be the last to swallow their pride, take care of the customer and realize that YES, better does matter. Better price and better understanding of what the customer wants.

Probably won't happen until August. Keep a close eye on what the banks are doing. Lots of bonds getting called is the first step.
