Does anyone know how many were affected by the RIF last week on Thursday, 25 Feb?

WTF is a surplus declaration? Is that when you have too many Americans working and need to bring in more H1B's? Really don't know who's worse anymore the politicians that allowed this program to be created, or the Public who keeps for voting for the idiots who allow the corporations to use this.. It's a cycle of greed...
I think it was all talk also. Nothing out of our union except to wear a black shirt on Tuesday and vote for the CWA endorsed candidate. It sucks not getting anything out of the local or the bargaining team!
I guess it was all talk again.
Let's go back to strike talk on this layoff board, when is it going to happen?
PIU - yes I know this is a phucking LAYOFF board - but i was clarifying that there was a RIF as opposed to the surplus someone else was talking about. So don't give me crap about not giving details since I don't know the phucking details. I know some friends who got RIF'd but I don't know how many overall or what departments were affected which was the original question. And I'm management as well just waiting for the bullet to hit me too so suck it!
I know some groups under Anthony Recine / Marketing were hit... some at 50%. These folks are spread out across the country.

1dh no one should have to ask where and how many management were riffed. This is a phucking LAYOFF board! Why would you throw out a layoff statement and then not give details of where and how many if known? Oh! I get it it. Management don't count as people?
What locations?
Management was rif'd last week. This is different from the new surplus plan.
What org & groups were hit?
@FDX is correct , IF you decided not to take the offer, you can stay around and not get anything(when terminated) even close to what the Feb buyout amount was.. .
First, this is not a RIF. It is a surplus declaration. So the company hopes x amount of people leave the company in each given title. Nobody can be forced out. There are no layoffs involved.
