These Union people have had a picnic for years. A friend of mine worked for VZ for 25 years and he wouldn't start his work day till around 10 a.m. because he was sitting in a restaurant eating his breakfast.

Did one job then had lunch. Then would ask for overtime because he needed to get his work done. He did this for years. Bought himself a nice summer home down the Jersey shore with all his overtime money. Get with the program.

First, I don't work for Verizon. And second, if the unions added any value they wouldn't have to go on strike to demand higher wages. I doubt you'll find any non-union employee at Verizon who feels like the union adds any value, especially when the union is the main reason the wireline business doesn't make money.

@GZvou0b-zdb You really are ignornant. Despite the strike, the company would burn you quicker and before they burn anyone from the union. Their work adds value, while your's does not.

That's only a little less than are about to be out of work when Verizon locks out the union at the end of the month. I assume some of the 39k union employees will end up crossing the picket line before the lockout terminations that everyone is talking about begin.
