I agree to work for a lower wage than the next guy. I agree to work for less benefits than the next guy. I agree to work more hours than the next guy. I agree to put Verizon before my family. No matter how bad the decisions made by the executives are, I agree to smile, cheer and tell them that they are great. I agree that no one is "entitled" to having a stable career at Verizon and I deserve to eventually be replaced by someone who will accept even less than myself. My life's desire is to be a VZ Teamer.

So that's your idea of the "American Dream?" Obviously you don't have a family because if you did, you'd know it's not easy to up and move your kids from school to school and house to house. Breaking news, all companies have "bad employees." In our company, I think you would agree, the good employees far out way the bad on both the union and non-union sides, otherwise we would not have been this successful for so long.
Why? Because Verizon is a great company that pays well. I don't expect my employer to be my mommy. I make myself as valuable as possible and then if they decide to rif me I move on with severance in hand. Been through that before. Now if someone is a crappy employee, maybe they do need to worry since if they get riffed no one else will hire them.

Amen Brother. You've got that right. Why any self-respecting person would want to take a non-union job for Verizon is beyond me. There are other jobs and other careers out there. But yet there are those 10K "manager" that just want to live another day under Jerry Springer's thumb .... oh I meant Lowell. Hey, maybe Lowell can create his own TV show ... content for Go(Nowhere)90. And the "managers" can fight each other on stage .... and as they get kicked out of there hotel rooms.
