On both sides, much fear I sense.

Sorry, but the only presidential candidates who have said anything about Verizon are the two Democrats. Democrats always cater to the poor and working class people who are looking for entitlements. Cruz isn't big into entitlements, and Trump most definitely doesn't side with any unions as a businessman himself.

If you don't like the company you work for then why stay there? If they are paying you enough or giving you enough benefits then why not go find a job that better suits your needs?

@GZO2Z2A-vey is another troll hired by Verizon executives. Fortunately ALL the presidential candidates are incensed at all of the malfeasance inside of Verizon, as the company execs line their own pockers at the expense of the shareholders, and rip-off their employees.

The company is no different than any other company in their opinion of America and Americans. The executives in this company run it like executives do every other company.

The problem is the union employees apparently have no idea how good they've got it. Call Center phone jockeys who get paid more than $60,000 plus healthcare, pension, etc? That is unheard of in ANY industry, especially a shrinking one, yet these employees seem to think they are entitled to more. It really is unbelievable, and I'm afraid these employees are about to find their gravy trains evaporate when the lockout gets here.

If these employees think Verizon treats them so unfairly why don't they leave and go work somewhere else like most Americans do? It's a free country, so by all means if Verizon is so unfair and uncaring just quit and go get a job with Level 3 or AT&T. But they won't quit because they know that NO other company in this country is going to pay a call center person $60,000 plus health benefits/pension/vacation/401k.

That is the one question I've never heard one of these union people answer: If you don't like Verizon and Lowell so much, then why not quit and go work somewhere else? Probably because they don't want to just admit that they're too lazy and entitled to go find something else not to mention there isn't anything else that will come close to what Verizon is giving them. And there's a reason for that...

The company is indifferent to America and Americans. That is worse than hate. In the immortal words of Eli Wiesel, "the opposite of good is not evil, it is indifference". The executives in this company wipe their backsides with a company that almost none of them built. It was entrusted to their care and they destroyed it. There is no hell deep enough for them or KTY.

I don't think the company has any hate, that seems to be coming from the Union leaders. The company doesn't have that much to lose except for the extra money in overtime it's paying; the wireline business doesn't contribute much to Verizon's bottom line so it's financial impact is a drop in the bucket.

Once they have contractors to come in and replace the employees that walked off their job things will start running normally again, but that could take several months.
