Here's the article ^. Why does Verizon keep spending all this money on things such as this? They also purchased 25% of "awesomeness TV".

As a management employee, I don't think I have seen a multi billion dollar tech like F500 company have worse Acqusitions then Verizon does.

Easier answer they hate their employees guts and hope they all drop dead so they can keep their pension and collect on their dead peasants insurance policy.

Such an easy answer: They'd rather spend $250 million on the future of the company than $250 million on the past.

When you have absoultely NO IDEA how to sell and make your business profitable like lowmac and his cheesy execs(sic), then you buy other companies. The AOL deal still makes no sense, and the Huffington Post is still poking its fingers into Verion's eyes.

It's a failed venture before it begins. Verizon is thrashing about on its death throes. Spewing out more bs for the dumb investors to believe in for the time being. Us economy is on the ropes and heading into worse than 2008 9

Verizon with its massive layoffs of us workers, has helped reduce disposable income, people do not have a dime left over after paying the bills

Wireless is saturated and they have to find growth potential in other revenue streams.
