Why doesn't the union draw up a petition advising this executive board that if a fair contract is not reached by the 29th, the membership will be canceling all Verizon services?

That' just great. Those employees who intentionally use our competitors should not be surprised by the lack of respect by Verizon. Unless there was an significant economic difference in price, you idiots should be supporting your bread and butter. Start looking for a new career at Cablevision or Time Warner, where you will learn what your skills are really worth.
jbz when you wipe limp d!ck lowell's jizz off of your chin perhaps you can scabsplain this to all of us

We cut the cord with these fools long ago. No more headaches now!!!!!!! :)
@jbz, no profit, let me guess, you think Verizon gives us some great discount? My fios was $200/month and my wireless was about $250/month before changing providers. Get back to work you idiot scab.
I will tell you why Lowell does not care.
Based on all the concessions, VZ does not a profit on the union cable.
Plus, if all 39K +- union cancel service, then VZ can lay more off.
Cut your nose, to spite you face.
If Union employees don't get an employee discount, why use Verizon at all? Verizon is such a rip off only people getting a discount and fools use it.
That is pretty sad, non union employees get 50% discount.
Most union guys i know already do not use vz services out of spite because they do not get an employee package discount.
Churn is a number that greatly concerns both dividend investors and bond holders.
I'm sure he's prepared for that -- come the 29th the union people are going to be shutting off a LOT of things because they won't have any money or job.
I'd be willing to bet that a members average monthly bill is around $200. That's probably on the low side, but for sake of argument that's what we'll use. Again, just assuming that half of the membership uses Verizon, that's $3.6 million each and every month. Once you start adding in retirees, friends and family members, you're probably looking at a loss of at least a 1/4 billion in revenue annually.
Already done you will be seeing it....but really Lowell could care less, and why would you want to pay a penny to this company now anyway.
