Folks are so happy to have a pay check - they're in denial that VZ isn't such a great place after all. You should expect a company and it's leaders to treat all employees with respect. VZ is a place for the old-timers C-suite to get rich and remain in the 1% Club. You should be embarrassed by Lowell - he's so out of touch, along with his cronies. Any CEO who doesn't recognize that committed and engaged employees is the backbone of a company should be thrown out!
Here's a tip: All employees and ex-employees should own some shares of VZ stock, so you can vote for the CEO of YOUR company. If VZ wronged you by a layoff/RIF or some other dirty deed practice, then use your vote to keep Lowell in check. Remember, the 1% only listens based on how the game is played. You can hoot, holler, whine all day long - but play smarter and own a few shares -- then bogart the shareholder meeting and create a revolution!!
