All previous offers are now off the table. There won't be anymore "talks" unless the CWA is willing to make major concessions. Strikers have to the end of the month to come back on their own or lose their benefits and their jobs. It doesn't matter how hard this hits Verizon. They want out of this business and to either win a great deal or lose the CWA.

Nobody wants the union headaches and declining profits. Lowell will have to "fix this" before any more sales. I'm surprised the union went on strike - even without a contract the old rules and compensation applied. Now they are in a position where their benefit run out and they will have gone on strike and gained nothing for it except more debt.
BS OP. The Annual Meeting is May 5th in NM. Lowell has some serious explaining to do, and will try everything in his power to get this resolved before the meeting, where he will no doubt be roasted for getting caught with his pants down.
Be careful what you wish for. Fairpoint went belly up. Got rid of half the work force in the union.
Or buy up wireline properties loaded down with wireless costs.
The OP is dumber than a tree stump. Nobody is going to buy wireline without a 5 year labor contract in place.
Please sell wireline!!
Wireline then charges wireless market rates (cellphones aren't walkie talkies, they must have wireline to work) and we'll quit hearing about how profitable wireless is within the week.
What the OP suggests in the post violates labor law.
Try to educate your self.
"Verizon Is Selling Off The Wireline Business" - yeah right. To who? What company would want to buy that steaming pile of crap?
"Please sell us....We want to work for a company that wants us......We have been saying this now for years"
- I think Fairpoint might be interested.
Who would want it,the past 10 years of managing this company has made it worthless. Don't fix anything, hit and run.
Will this become Yahoo and Marissa Mayer CEO soon?
misinformed-- they will lose their benefits at the end of the month, not their jobs. I hope you don't work for Verizon, I am embarrassed by your ignorance.
Please sell us....We want to work for a company that wants us......We have been saying this now for years.
