Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

EWA'ers Fastest way home from this B.S Lowell McAdam strike is to not get anything done. The more we get done, the longer we stay.

The Union Members are home with there families, we're not. This is where they live. Two people from my work location has just left with injuries, both on their way home right now to their kids. I missed my kids games this weekend. I tell you I'm starting to listen to the Union members talk...There not asking for anything, just to not have there benefits taken away. That sounds fair. Verizon can afford it, Their watching Lowell give himself plenty.

@GXYDpH1-dji I was in the training. I would say about maybe 4 out of the 12 in my class had any idea about what they were doing by the end of training. Though the instructors were good, the training was all high level and trouble-shooting almost nil. It just was not enough time, and most already had forgotten what they learned.

Fios is piece of cake for those management with technician background. Those know nothing to do managers are IT employees. Don't be silly. Not all EWAers are IT. If you guys see any managers sit at Dunkin Donuts for 2 hours (I read from other posts) that means they will be fired after the strike is over. The GPS tells everything.

@GXYDpH1-pfx you should talk and see how that had been working out for the thousands of managers that were fired in the past 12 months. Most are still looking.

This is just another way Verizon turns non union employees against Union employees. By making people travel across the country to do EWA assignments. Did they have no other choice? Of course not, they had lots of choices, but they chose to fuk people over by making them work these $hitty assignments.

Fuk Verizon and fuk Lowell they are both $hit.

@xvy, let me guess, you're drunk in your little hotel room, masturbating to pictures of Lowell. You sick, angry b@st@rd. You know damn well you have no family. Wife and kids up and left you years ago. That's why you need that extra EWA money, to make up for all that child support. Too bad that condom broke on you daddy's pecker.

Fastest way home is letting the Men and Women who's job this is, do there job. I'll do mine at home, and Lowell can just deal with it. I'll be back with my family, Lowell's home with his.

I don't understand the bitching and moaning about EWA. let's see I am in a office getting feed and having time to myself at a hotel without the family. Hmmmm earn travel point and hotel points and that money.

Missing a few weeks from the family won't kill me.

My EWA is a cake walk. Just don't hang up on them and learn as I go. If and I saw IF you guys come back well good luck cleankng the sh-- up suckers. I will hopefully get riffed and saw good bye to you little babies with a nice fat bank account.

Speaking of fat, when you slobs are forced overtime to clean up the sh--. I will make sure to make some home visits to the wife's to say hi.

When, not if I get RIFFED, I will based on my resume and the certifications that VZ has paid for I will get another job if I choose to stay in the industry.

So do the union folks understand that the union bosses do NOT work for VZ and are still getting paid no matter how long the strike is. Do the union folks understand that the union bosses really don't care what the new contract says. They just want you to stay in the union and pay your dues so they make millions of dollars each year. Do the union employees understand that it really doesn't matter what the end result is...Verizon will win and the union bosses will cave and they will tell the union folks they did their best and the contract is great--even though it won't be...It won't matter. Union folks will still listen to union bosses and pay dues. I am an adult. I think for myself. No one tells me what to do or how to do it. I work hard. I continue to further my education and certifications so I can be a valuable member of a team....VZ or otherwise. I am responsible for my destiny, Not a union boss. Get a grip, get a clue, get an education and get a job that you are qualified for...not one you think you are entitled to.

op, it's only day 4. What are you going to do on week 4? Don't you see, your fellow VZ Teamers (bbi) love taking it in the keister. I wonder if those who were injured are eligible for worker compensation? Not likely. No one seems to realize that participating in EWA's are a lose, lose. Unless your last name is Mc@$$hat or Shamoo. Don't be surprised if those who were sent home injured are terminated. That's the way of the credo. Thank you for putting your life on the line. BYE, BYE!

there, their, they're...maybe you should learn proper grammar. You are a union employee trying to mask as a manager. you wouldn't make it in a manager role.

After a few weeks your work ethic may diminish. My kids are older but when you miss something you'll never have another shot. The regret of not being involved is soul crushing.
