I'm working EWA and will not quit my job to show union support because I don't want my family to suffer. My understanding is that CWA has over 3.4 million dues paying members. Clearly almost none of them on a percentage basis are on strike at any given time. So why can't they pay the VZ CWA members their normal pay and pay for their benefits as if they were working? In the news I read that a large group of ATT CWA employees are working without a contract. Why can't they join forces? I'm all for standing up for what you deserve but why doesn't the union band together and really crush the current system? Where's the CWA brotherhood regardless of the up front company? That's what I don't get about the union strength. Please explain.

Why would someone answer a loaded question? You know the answer because you asked the question. Go manipulate someone else. You think you are so smart. All silence means we are sticking together.
A lockout is a bad tactical move on the company's part and guarantees that the strike will go on. Why? Because then all of the srikers will get unemployment benefits.
2 weeks, lockout, 38k unemployed people. We're almost there!
Don't ask these union members. They don't no what strength is. They are just a bunch of uneducated douchebags.
The correct answer unless there is an emergency:
No access or kick it to cable. It is all going to have to be re-repaired after the stike anyway. So don't be a hero.

Still don't get where union strength fills in this strike. Please let me know. I'm starting to think that the worldwide CWA brotherhood doesn't support the CWA VZ & ATT cause.
