Since Wednesday I've only seen 2 picketers. I see the union scumbags show up for the picket line in the same timely manner they show up for dispatches. Grab a sign, mumble something that rhymes and walk in a circle. That's your job for now and you can't even get that right. Dumb uneducated goons. Enjoy government welfare , it's not as pleasant as what Verizon has been giving you graciously.

First of all, his job is installation and maintenance of the company's call center system. Sometimes need to be onsite. Most of times he could get all these done "At Home".
Second. Why it is weekend? Because all the company have to use the system during business day, each installation and maintenance must be done at the weekend or after hours.
Third. Before we got married, he already had this kind of job. Now, we already have two lovely kids and expecting one more.
Forth. Thank you unions. Without you guys on strike, we couldn't have those extra money for our eroupean trip. Let the strike last longer.
Last but not least. I don't care about how you verbally assault me and my families. The only truth is you are just a low class jerk. Hope Verizon lock you out in the end. Enjoy the weekend, oh no, everyday with your families without any paychecks.

The 130k includes your whole package i.e. benefits, pension etc.... What they pay for you...
You still didn't tell me how much you make every year. You saw the average middle class income. I guarantee you make much more than that. My husband is a veteran and only had high school diploma before. He spent years to get a bachelor degree and CCIE certificate. He worked as a technician in a garage for 12 years and made about 120K (before tax) a year during the last few years. It is the highest salary he could have. Sometimes he need to work 72 hours continually and most of the time is weekend. He wasn't satisfied with either his position and salary. So, he spent two years and thanks for the total 16000 dollars from Verizon. He got his MBA and become a manager. Right now, his income is much more than before. Yes, you have experience and skills. But sometimes if you want get more money, you need make great efforts just like my husband did.
When I run for President, I'll disclose all of my financials. In the meantime, I can tell you that I am in one of the highest paying craft positions and never reach 6 figures with voluntary overtime. You are correct that someone CAN make $130,000 if they don't like to have their weekends off. But it is not an average or even the median income of union employees.
Auf. It is AVERAGE 130K. Some people can get more than 130K and some people couldn't. I think you already forget the elementary mathematics. How about you tell me how much you make every year? I think it is still above the average amount in this country.

You union people always assume self is middle class. Google it. Considering the average Verizon union workers make 130k a year, you tell me you why you guys are still not satisfied with how much get paid from Verizon.
Middle class gets screwed again....corporate greed, YOU bit off more than you could chew Verizon, YOU got greedy and needed more and more and more money. Just like the government, you are way to big to handle yourselves respectfully, don't give a sh** about your employees that work like dogs and get treated just as well, while you drive around in your fancy cars. Most VERIZON employees that have families live pay check to pay check and absolutely can't afford this strike, you know this....think about the next generation- nice legacy Verizon- "hey son you should work for Verizon and make it your career just like dear ol' dad did. Son- " why you leave us for a month at a time and we don't get to see you, I barely know you" thanks Verizon because you care so much about American families.
After 20 years of this bs with what is now Verizon- let's all remember they used to be Bell Atlantic, A company that ACTUALLY gave a crap about their employees, a Christmas bonus, a turkey for thanksgiving. Gone are the days of "happy workers = more motivation, earned dedication to a job well done, which inevitably= more money for the company".
To have negotiated and fought for so long just to retain the little perks that they do have, overtime is what made this a great job to be fortunate enough to even have in the first place -seen any of that since sandy? Let's not even talk about the next catastrophe that hits, then they will want you 24/7 and ALL those workers they brought in and ALL the work that has to be redone by real employees anyway cause ya know not just anyone can do what at trained technician can, just to give it all back in one fowl swoop- eg...giving up pay raises so that you can keep your medical for free. Free= you gave up your 5% raise for 2%- each and every contract negotiation so that you can keep your "free" medical....nothing is ever free, don't let them fool you. ANYONE that has devoted their lives to a company ANY company for 20 years and made it a career, deserves to at least keep what they have and not go home with less...#verizon=corporate greed #BellAtlanticwasthebomb
Attention all jackass scabs & managers. Obviously you don't pay much attention because as we have told you before, we are currently focusing the majority of our picketing at wireless stores. Even though you continue to bash us, we continue to show wireless employees the benefits of unionizing (pay, benefits, work rules, layoffs, H1-B's, etc.) in order to try to help you avoid losing another 6,000 coworkers as you did at the end of 2015. Please stop ignoring the facts and lying to yourselves. You are not getting jobs done correctly, you are not handling customer calls properly. Trouble tickets and installs are backing up an additional week for every day we are out. Grow a pair, stand up to Verizon and go back to your family's. Again, WE will continue to fight for YOU, regardless of how many times you call us fat, entitled, uneducated slobs. We are, and will continue to be the backers of the middle-class.
There are lazy, entitled people - a percentage - in any subset of a group and that group includes MANGERS. I am a former Vz manager and I worked with/supervised/witnessed a significant number of managers who basically "showed up". There is a lot of wiggle room within Verizon to under perform or not even perform and that is a comment on the company and not any one group. This is a remarkably profitable company and believe me - because I've sat and listened - when executives meet, they laugh and giggle and get a freaking glaze in their eyes when they commiserate about their "portfolios", and that is ALL THEY CARE ABOUT. That is all your so-called leadership at Verizon cares about - HOW MUCH MONEY THEY ARE RAKING IN individually, when they can retire, where they will retire. They are miserable for the most part in their kiss-arsing-required jobs and with the exception of a few, no one is going to stand up for you, have your back. At least the Union has that. And that is worth more over time than a manager will see at Verizon. I read with great mirth all of the VZ executives responding positively to Lowell re: his foolish, plebeian rant on Feel The Bern page because most of those responses came from people who are looking at 50 - 54 years around the corner and that will be Verizon's prompt to "retire" or 'RIF" them. Get out people. Seriously, Grab the next RIF buy out and in the meantime start looking at other companies. You will be amazed at how freaking dysfunctional and confused Verizon is, how you have been working for a company plagued with an identity crisis since all of the Bells joined, and how you are nothing more than a number.
So yeah, I am so happy to see the Unions walked. At least they have cohesiveness and brotherhood. I can tell you as a point of fact in manager land, you are being back stabbed and marginalized by anyone who will benefit from this.
