When can Verizon officially fire/layoff the people who went on strike?
Verizon just announced wiring of the City of Boston. These trained EWA's can't fix a simple no light issue let alone any technical issues. I have yet to see one even take a ladder off the truck in now 4 days....They simply are not trained. So to answer your question, They will stay out until they get the contract they deserve. They will be the workers that once again will be wiring an entire City, As they should be. Verizon right now is at no point able to replace them any time soon.
If nothing else, McAdam is a stubborn guy. He could take down this company and not care. Either way him and McAdam generations to follow will never worry about money,it's a Lowell win, win.

Nothing is getting done....the EWA staff are not trained enough to even fix a simple trouble. How long do you expect customers to go without service? And don't even think of adding new customers. Lowell McAdam need to swallow his pride and get back to the table.

Me too, and the fact that it appears as the union refused mediation and walked just for the shot of publicity with Bernie. They would have lost nothing to try mediation.
I think that vz covered themselves with the offer to accept mediation that the union turned down.
