this OP sounds like the wwii traitor tokyo rose...that's the problem with the union...80% of them are nice respectable men and women looking for a fair deal...the other 20% are mouthy, illiterate jerkoffs who welcome a strike so they can run their yaps

Lol@ OP who is just a modern day Tokyo Rose. Typical communist propagandist. Good pawn, here is your $200 for the week, make sure you bark again when I say so... oh, and while your head is up the union boss @ss, make sure you do your duty and give him a reach around. Maybe you'll earn an extra $50 for the week.
Money is good!!!! Thanks u
Lazy union workers....
Can't we all just get along??
It sounds like all the scabs have a bunch of free time to post on here for being so busy...Better get to work!! Lowell is watching
PMR. Fake management. Stop posting same sh* in different posts.
Obama care is not free. You guys still need to pay something and there is only 6 months unemployment. It is still cheaper than hire you lazy ass
Im a first level manager and where I'm sitting I see nothing is getting done... 3 or 4 people fixing one trouble for 5 hours or more.... I hope you guys come back soon... The money is nice but we just don't have the training or the skills to fix a lot of the stuff out here...
Lol... I wish Verizon would lock us out too. We would all get unemployment. Thanks Verizon.....lol... I'm sure you know more than me though......!!Bahahaha
The money for this little bit of sacrifice makes it all better. It's like getting double pay for as long as the strike lasts. Last time around in 2011 I was bummed the union came back so quick. You know, you get used to the hours after a while. I remember working like 14 or 15 days straight at 12 hrs a day plus the extra travel and I was used to it by then. The extra money was very nice.
My husband is an EWA. I and our two daughters 100% support my husband and the other Verizon EWAs. We are waiting for that big fat OT paycheck coming. Wish Verizon will lock all of you out.
Haha dummy, mine and several at the same assignment as me got to take our families with us. Thanks for walking. Have fun walking in a circle shouting dumb rhyming slogans and jumping in front of cars. Dumb apes.

@yae Well said. What is management supposed to do? Give up their own jobs just because the Union decided to strike. We don't have a Union behind us. We have to take care of ourselves and our families. This SCAB nonsense has got to stop. I have worked at Verizon for 35 years and for the last 10 I have to worry at any time I will be RIF'ed. I have been fortunate so far but I know my day is coming.
The OP is truly the post of someone uneducated, ignorant, and immature. The people who must do EWA are just easy targets for all of your frustrations - most of which you can fairly direct toward either the company or your own Union leaders. I realize this takes a level of self awareness that may be hard to achieve during heightened emotions but still think it fair to expect and adult to do.
And, to be fair, the snide responses about making money are just as dumb and add fuel to the fire in order to try to make you (the OP-author) as frustrated and angry as the response-writer.
All caps really made it hit home. Thanks!
Yeah you're gettimg overtime but if you don't think Verizon is taking advantage of its management with asking them to work 13 days straight 12 hrs in different states with uncertainty of when it is over is ridiculous. Reason being, you don't comply then you're assis fired. You people clamoring about the pay, wait until week 2 on the weekends when your plans with family/friends need to be canceled.
You are right. I'm away from my family. But my kids are learning about responsibility. They are taking care of the things at home that I usually do. We are a family and we help each other out. Will I miss their games? Yes. For the first time in my life I won't be there. But they know I love them and support them. We are ALL doing what is right not what is easy. I'm pretty sure it's as hard on the union members as it is on the EWA folks. There are a lot of good people on both sides of this.
I am not sure why mgmt gets your nasty comments or why this gives u such satisfaction. I thought your beef was with Lowell. That said, if we did not work your jobs, and VZ suffers enough to lose customers, then a percentage of your jobs would be eliminated along with that biz. I don't want to be here. I would never sign up for this or apply for a job like this, but here II am. It is good, and we now get double time after 51 hours, which we did not ask for, fight for, or need a union to get. 1200 day, here I come.
And while you're talking your family to the food bank and free clinic I'll be taking mine on a luxury vacation paid for in OT from your lost wages.
Yes, that is very true about my family. That said, I will use all the overtime to make things right, including a European vacation when the EWA ends. Thx for the reminder.
