Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

When will the strike of the labour Unions end. If there is no estimate date, does anyone know the approximate time when this will end.

No one knows. Last time when the management employees started getting more comfortable in their roles, they were ready to go the distance but it got called. This time I would expect no less resolve from management. I doubt the company execs will budge much, and the union execs want to keep their hands on as much dues as possible, so it's really a big question whether the union is willing to get locked out or not. This could go on for a while or not if the union can find some way to save face while coming back to work.

I have a family emergency and need to avail vacation but due to the ongoing strike its impossible as we have to fill in for the people. Does anyone have an idea as to when this will be called off ?

No clue. If Verizon lock all these strike union workers out at the end of this month, it would be the end of the story.
