Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Executive Board, DO YOUR JOB !!!

As a shareholder of a fairly large amount of Verizon stock, I respectfully request that the Board of Directors immediately go to the Linkedin article that Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam wrote today and take a long, hard look at the many responses that the American public are posting to CEO McAdams. Keep in mind that Linkedin is not an anonymous site and these are people using their real names and work titles, as they blast both the Verizon CEO and the company itself. At what point will the blinders come off and the realization occur that a terrific blunder that has been made? This is gross negligence.

The truth of the matter is Vz is only intrested in raisng their stocks value so the big wigs can keep raising their pay which is moatly in stocks anyway. That being said...

If the general pyblic would get a glimpse behind closed doors at the naked Verizon they wpuld see that this company isnt all its dressed up to be. To put it u in relateable terms its like putting an expensive dress on a street wh--e The image they project is all a facade. Because they do not take care of their workers. They sponsor many things and spend tons of money in promoting the company. But in turn are destroying the American dream. This company has the ability to do better for its workers instead it chooses to cut benefits and charge for medical. And thia ia just the tip of the iceberg. They have persecute employees in order to fire them and hire new employees an pay them much lower wages with less benefits. Also i must say that the infrastructure where they have built their whole business on is so out dated its scary. You would think that they would look to build on a solid foundation. But they do not. The buildings where all signals come out of are decrepid behind their shiny walls. All buildi g systems are at least 50 years old. They do not concern themselves with little things like saving energy. They do not help empower the communities they serve. But they keep looking for ways to get rid of union workers and hire workers with less protections less rights. People that they can force out whenever they choose to. Verizon is a wolf in sheeps clothing.

I would really like to ask Mr. McAdam what is so special about him that he is worth 18mil + per year. Does he think his compensation & benefit package is on par with other CEO's. I am sure the Verizon board could easily find someone willing to do his job for 6 mil per year. Oh that's right...that is what he negotiated but when other employees trie to negotiate fair wages & benefits, they are way out of line!

News reports in the financial press point out how little income tax Verizon pays. Sanders called Verizon and McAdam on it. McAdam said: "not true" Looks like he maybe telling fibs.

Op, what are you thinking? Dump those shares while you can before the stock goes back down to $40. Whenever you hear that one of the executive douchebags gets rid of almost a million dollars in stock options, that's a sure sign it's about to tank. No commission charged for advise, this time....lol.

And even worse is that he was caught fibbing, with more than a few links to respected publications and journals. I would say that Mr. McAdam may have a problem with living up to his own 'credo', that has long since lost any credibility.
