Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Again, a look at the facts

Verizon Communications Inc., & All Its Subsidiaries & Affiliates has filed 85 labor condition applications for H1B visa and 333 labor certifications for green card from fiscal year 2013 to 2015. Verizon Communications, & All Its Subsidiaries & Affiliates was ranked 467 among all visa sponsors. (I'm sure this number is far larger during your career.) So, why are you hiring H1B visa holders when there are plenty of Americans out of work, and while you're laying off lots of people? Answer: You want that third vacation home. "And while the wireline labor force has gotten smaller as the business has shrunk," And how many layoffs have you announced during your tenure as CEO? In addition, how much did you increase salaries and wages to your union (and non-union) workforce? I bet that percent was tiny. But your pay is up nicely, isn't it? Answer: You want that third vacation home, so the questions won't be answered. "It’s those workers whose future we seek to safeguard" Have you enacted and enforced a no layoffs policy? If no, then this is a false statement. I wrote an article about the business case for a no-layoffs policy. It INCREASES profits. That's the facts.

you're not supposed to ask questions such as these.

you're supposed to be grateful you have a job here and kiss the picture of lowell in your office every morning.
