Remember to always run CAT5 on data orders! Lol. This is going to be hilarious.

@OP Thanks! Yep, had a blast actually. Made tons of overtime cash, learned new skills, met new people, and worked in a new part of the country, all of it thanks to the union. Made me kinda wish I had gone to trade school instead of graduate school. Good memories of 2016. Hoping management gets another such opportunity. I also remember how my temporary boss wished we could become their permanent team. 'Nuff said!
Diane@oboxsolutions.com....not sure you want these tough talker types. I think you got on the wrong board.
Ha severance pay, I guess you don't know many managers that have been riffed, I'll let you figure that out for yourself when you are riffed in a few months
And as for asking to go to the bathroom, I fixed that years ago when a supervisor said wait until so and so is back from lunch, I then sent a message well you have a mess to clean up now!
Once a SCAB ALWAYS A SCAB!
SCABS WILL PAY!
Wait for it... Wait for it... Wait for it... No Strike! lol. Way to talk tough Chris, at least until you asked the Mediators to step in. Do cross this line... No this line... No this line... We mean it this time we are out... If we agree to extend our deadline will you do mediation with us.
nice, dyl! Posting threats on the Internet makes you cool. Keyboard warriors make me smile.
@eht Spoken like a true union slag, who's never known what it was like to EARN a position on the merits of your work and ethics... I built my job, I built the network I work on (no, not that one)... I don't have a steward who I have to report to and ask if I can go to the bathroom from vz management. I could take my severance when I'm RIF'd and start my own company- just make sure it remains a non-union shop.
byy but you will be a slave for the rest of your life drinking Kool Aid, fethching the paper and kowtowing and begging for your daily bread. A civil servant dad like you must make you kids real proud of you. What a pussy.
OBOX Solutions is hiring all types of technical talent in the US. We are looking for Network Engineers, Project Managers, etc.
Send your resume to Diane@oboxsolutions.com
Well, I'll only be a 'scab' or a 'rat' for the duration of the strike, but you'll be a union slag forever
@GSws29g-xuq well posted! The managers got screwed terribly to cover up for all of the company's piss poor investments in everything from MCI to telematics to aol to go90. All of these were paid for by the benefits non union workers no longer have. Meanwhile lomac makes more than 200 times what the average employee makes. Not even Ivan was that much of a thief.
Exactly if your so unhappy with EWA quit and find another job
Easier said than done
Trust and believe you won't find any job compared to the one you have at Verizon
That's why we are fighting for what we have and you pussies just go when and where they tell you
Then will be riffed
Read the posts from the 12/31/15 layoffs
None of us union employees got that sh--ty New Year Screw you!
That's why we walk!
And good luck getting over 45 years of skill set within a few hours of training
You are in for a rude awakening supposing your covering any meaningful assignment.
Wiping Lowells assI'm sure can be learned quickly!
Who would protect a company that pays a 1 percent tax rate! You'll never get to that point so why support them?
You should join the fight and maybe have what we have!
There is definitely nothing honorable about hiding behind, "they made me do it!" Bring your diapers baby huey!
There is nothing honorable about hiding behind a union. If you're all so angry quit your jobs and find new ones. It's hardly the fault of the "scabs" who are forced to report to these garages. Business managers have families too!
VZ will be on its asswithin 30 days. They cant handle the work load. Period. If it goes beyond 30 days and one of you scabs cross a Philadelphia picket line. Well, all I can really post is good luck with that...
Who do you think designs what is installed in the field bozo?
If I get riffed I take my months of severance and get another job within the month. Like qqa said, there's something about being highly educated and striving for excellence in all you do. By the way, most of what we do here can be learned. Like @hat said though they ought to have spent more time customizing the assignments a little better. Some of us know a thing or two about tech or are fast learners but sit in a call center and vice versa.
why the heck would any one want 5 cats with their data orders??
Thicknet is the way to go. Nothing but the best for Verizon customers.
All i'm saying is that if your core job, your entire skillset, can be covered, albeit not well at first, by anyone with only a few hours of training. That really says a lot about your current market value.
Swb, been sleeping by your wife. You didnt know?
Can't wait to see all you bafoons on YouTube. Remember to run, run, run, and when this is all over you will be riffed to clear some $ for all the overtime real techs will be making fixing the plant again. Be safe OSHA is watching!
Good luck clearing the Ethernet backlog the real site line cash cow
Good luck turning up a 10gig with the correct xconns since the system is hardly ever updated with what circuit is where.
Good luck finding the source of errors at 2a on a 10gig for VZW
Good luck explaining why Verizon is abandoning DS0 and DS1 in areas and finding an alternate path when they do get disconnected.
Why do my customers always thank me for finally coming back after this my sixth strike.
Good try SCABS
Go bleed on someone else!
If they can teach the monkey craft dummies to do it I will learn it in my sleep. Nothing hard for those of us with a brain. You might have to teach me where are the good spots to go hang out and sleep all day than wake up and say you need overtime to finish.
Wouldn't that be CAT5e? who uses CAT5 anymore?
qqa, wish we had highly educated folks responding to posts, reading your post I see that is not always possible.
That was my experience as well- funny how I've turned up 1000s of data circuits (both in the field and remotely talking techs of varying capabilities thru it)... before VZ even bought us... (I'm fMCI)
so do they give me a CO or field position, no- they put me in a call center. No matter, we cleared backlog that the union tried to leave for us, left it in better shape than when we started.
Met some sales/marketing types that were given field positions installing special services- they didn't know a dB from a bps... it's like whomever does the EWA assignments is trying to make replacements fail...
I can't speak for the installation/repair side of things but I remember last time hearing the call center managers saying that the management employees that worked for them during the strike were the best employees they had ever had. That they wished they could stay. There's something to say about having highly educated folks who strive for excellence in all they do.
No WECBs!
