I lost my job at ADC in the first wave of layoffs by Follett . I have friends in the warehouse that tell me how managers that stay in their office but nothing is said . Two girls that were promoted to leadership roles that spend most of the day talking with men in their departments , nothing is said . A manager who's wife worked in HR walks around doing nothing , nothing is said . They have so many people in the cleaning crew , yet we had to let so many office employees go . Why did they let me go ?

I was a manager and an employee called Mr Heat on me once because I asked him to buy a belt as his asswas constantly exposed. He called with the assumption of anonymity but HR immediately called my RM, who called me and we had a good laugh. Mr Heat is a joke people. NOTHING is confidential.
Complete turmoil and dissatisfaction for most employees. The leaders think the employees are the problems and not the solution. This company is going down.
Mr. Heat is part of the problem not part of the solution. He only sees what he wants to see. He protects people. A bully boy.
Just had a coversation about the ADC and he says all true and told me a lot more . They need Mr Heat on speed dial there .
Sad to say, all true, common knowledge. Deny, deny, deny. Because you're boss don't mean we don't know your game. Oh what a tangled web you weave.
None of these accusations are true..lies.
Unfortunately the same employee attitudes are the same in every office and every store. Morale and engagement is gone. Now there is just dread about going to work and dread while at work. It is truly just a "job" for me now, working 9-5 waiting to be sh-- canned.
Are sales out of ADC as bad as they say ? If so why are they still open ?
I agree Mr Heat is a joke , but amazed they allow women to act that way in leadership roles . I have heard many rumors like that about ADC when they were in River Grove .

Is it that shady at ADC ? I almost accepted a job with them last year . So glad I didnt even though it would have been closer to home for me .
You failed to share with us how long you were with Follett.
You weren't let go. You never factored into the equation. You fit the profile of the employee that Follett felt cost them too much. Follett has demonstrated they know their business as well as the obese know their shoe laces. They know the laces are there, but they can't see them or do anything with them without great effort. So, Follett thought people of certain tenure were paid too much and they were let go. That doesn't mean you were paid the most. Many of those folks were driven out with the benefit of severance.
I know this is hollow advice, however, Follett didn't fire you. They eliminated a position. You happened to hold that position. The "follett value" each and every associate was garbage.
Please move on. Don't try to make sense of it.
I have heard a lot of rumors about people in charge dating employees and temp workers . Good luck to you and your family .
