union will sell out again, its what keeps the dues rolling in, why pay out of that big strike fund, its just like the company raiding the pension fund, the union has enough in its strike fund that they started in 89 to pay all the members from day one but they won't do it because they are as bad as the company.

They should strike, but they won't.
The union has not responded yet people lets wait and see they could decline the mediation, which is what they should do.

That makes a lot of sense. There is some definite collusion going on here. Then again both the execs and the union negotiators are on Hillary's team. Interesting to note that while Sanders has spoken about the issue, Hillary has not. My guess is because they all knew. In 2011 there was a great deal of prep in the days leading up to the srike, now here is a union telling the company it is going to walk and the company does not mobilize its forces. Then suddenly out of nowhere appears the feds. Yeah - I believe all of that.
It does seem that the union and company knew this was going to happen. The union gave notice (which is just crazy) and the company didn't fully mobilize. I bet they planned it together.
I actually feel bad for y'all. In our case we knew that they were going to make our benefits smaller and smaller every year, but ya'll have a union that is supposed to keep that from happening. Except you didn't realize that both the union negotiators and Verizon are both on the same team. Damn thats like getting it pounded in your p--per without any lube.
Because Reid and lowac were pissing themselves that their would be a strike during all of the political action, especially now that the topic is America First. Verizon doesn't like Americans for anything more than paying their phone bills.
We all know the union is not going to walk when they can do Federal Mediation. This is likely why they gave the notice in the first place so that the government would step in and save them.

The company informed the FMCS that it's willing to participate as part of Verizon's continuing efforts to reach new contracts. At this time, however, Verizon has not heard if union leaders are willing to submit to mediation and extend the deadline for a strike."

saw this coming. no management told to report and union gave notice so why surprised that it was not going to get called. company does not want to be part of the prez race and national tv
