Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

from a Management employee... Go Union folks!! Hope you succeed.

Unfortunately we cant join you as we have no bargaining power to save our jobs. We will be on the other side trying to do your job so that we can keep ours.

But silently we are with you. Hope you succeed in your efforts.

I'm a management employee myself as well. Thankfully my EWA is at my current location so I don't need to leave my family.

What I find funny is how all the pressure should be on Executive management yet it's going to U.S. employees with these ridiculous EWAs of 13 days straight with some traveling across the country on less than day notice. I think Union or not, we can all agree that Executive management doesn't give a rats assabout any of its employees. You preach workplace culture and here you are sending management employees with 3 days training months ago, to go climb poles for 12 hour days in some ghetto.

Hope Chris dont sellout the members. Make it a national stand before national media and dont let talk about mediator back you off from doing what needs to be done. We dont have a fighting chance but union does, company in panic mode and throwing mediator bone is a way for them to hide that they are not prepared. Management not even told to deploy, too quiet just scare tactic emails

Its only the management fatcats (read directors and above) that hate the unions. Coz there fat paychecks and bonuses depend on that.

Most other management employees are common people just trying to raise a family doing and honest days work.

nku, that's exactly the way to look at it. the reality is we need each other now, it works against vz's game plan

That is the problem. Because of all of the layoffs and wireline sales, the crop of managment workers don't understand all of that and think that they are being disloyal if they don't try to play super tech. They are too young and have drank the kool aid. It will take them a week or more out in the field to realize what the truth of all of this is. As an old colleague use to tease: "don't get dirty before 10:30 and nothing new after two." There is absolutely no way that you can keep up with the work load or pretend that you are a real I&M Tech. So enjoy it as an advenure and don't be an a$$hole out there.

Raised in a union family, forced in a management world. Will hope union sticks or for what they war and deserve- not what Lowell and the rich fat asses want

Like I told a management employee yesterday. You are going to get razzed, but after a while you will know these union guys and if you are not an SOB and not trying to play super tech, then you are not a threat to them. They may even help you when you get totally lost. If you look at some of the clips that have been posted here, you can see that. But if you behave like a Kool Aid driking managment jerk, your life is going to be difficult, because you are a threat to this craft worker's pay, benefits and quality of family life. So do what you gotta do, but don't overdo it. You will never be able to clear the queue, so don't try. The bigger the queue gets the closer that we will all get to a fair contract.

Agree about the schmuck of a CEO but many managers that I know are not on your side anymore because of your animalistic behavior last strike. We want to see karma get you good.

Finally a dose of reality. The trolls would have us all believe that management hates us when the fact is that craft and lower management are in the same boat with the same feelings about this shmuck of a CEO.
