They walked Verizon down the garden path right into a jugger knot. This could not be the worst time for Verizon with all the politicians in New York. Their greed will now be on display for the whole country. A country that is absolutely fed up with over paid CEO's and corporate greed. The politicians have no choice but to eat them alive. Could they not see this coming? Was their CEO asleep at the switch?

@wia, yes, many in the union are a bunch of bullies and would take your lunch money. I remember how they treated a lady I know during the last strike and damaged her personal property. Some of those bullies have no respect for anyone and probably not for themselves either.
All VZ has to do is show the salary's of the union, and the greed of the union will also be exposed.
There is plenty of room for both.

Expression of speach. If these red shirted guys can scare you and prevent you from finishing all of your jobs, then they win. If somehow you can retain all of your composure under all of this stress and enter a nearby phone booth and exit as Super Tech, the execs win. There is nothing personal between you and the union about this. There beef is with the board of directors and execs.

COBRA, obamacare and sideline work in the trades. We have skills that people are willing to pay for. We are also digging in and cannot afford to lose this one. You will definitely cry uncle before we do. But this one will be long and ugly.

BTW Sanders has been endorsed by CWA, one of the unions that represent Verizon workers.
His rally at Washington Sq Park on Wednesday should be interesting if the unions actually call the strike at 6am on Wednesday.
But Trump is who they will have to watch out for. Trump knows all of the trade unions intimately and is a 'Yuge' customer of Verizon in his many properties. He is also a native New Yorker and talks and acts like one, in case you have not noticed.
The Media will have a frenzy with all the poll's and the American worker thing, but they will especially have a great time with Sanders. He will get lots of play with this, and it's is right up his ally. Hillary is in a pretty good fight now. Verizon will be front and center for the whole country to see them air there dirty laundry. Lowell should just step down for many reasons, but this is the worst ever, and completely unacceptable. How could this possibly happen?
