Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Union members have to feel played at this point

If the union does not strike at this point and accepts this mediation as condition to not to strike then this whole thing was orchestrated from the very start.

union will sell out again, its what keeps the dues rolling in, why pay out of that big strike fund, its just like the company raiding the pension fund, the union has enough in its strike fund that they started in 89 to pay all the members from day one but they won't do it because they are as bad as the company.

The union members needs to demand an audit of the coffers. You would probably be shocked to see how empty they are.

Come on orchestrated? Well, maybe, they have to make up an excuse to keep your dues.

That's it... they got played... the unions wanted everything... the company wanted to give nothing... and they will get mediated to the middle... The union get's the line "Well that's what the mediator gave us"... The company gets half... the company wins... the union shifts the blame... and everyone get's screwed
