I can't wait to see these VLSS blackbelts actually have to go out there and attempt to fix something. It will be quite a change from their usual job of taking classes where they're taught to just slash the crap out of every budget, regardless of the consequences.

I'll say this. I don't care if anyone goes out on strike. You guys have to do what you have to do. Don't friggin jump on people's cars when they are being forced to go in. There is no reason to act like animals. The low level managers don't get paid enough for that crap. Realistically we really don't get sh-- and we don't get overtime. If we get.forced to go in its just that were forced and it's "part of our jobs". All I'm trying.to do is keep food on my table for my family just like you. Let's not make each others lives hell.
six sigma kills innovation. GE dumped it. 3M dumped it. Verizon is always a day late and a dollar short on their management-by-best-seller initiatives. It is more like a Verizon clique than anything that can click to improve profitability.
Didn't GE get away from six sigma because it's a great idea but in practice you end up just creating busy work and not really driving any true savings? I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere. What a joke that whole program is
A certification that General Electric ended up ditching because it turned out to be a load of crap.
Ironically one of the easiest certifications to get. I'd like to see them try CCNA.
So your saying VLSS actually does something? I thought they just attended conference calls all day. I sat next to a VLSS person and was lucky to see her in the office once a quarter.
I think it is more likely that they will be complaining that their idiotic budget games will end up hoisting them on their own petards once they get out there and see the damage that they have done from BR.
Now that is something we can all agree on, both Mgmt and craft.
