Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

The day the union lost everything.

Well well well,

Where to start with this epic contract negotiation. From the leadership jerking us around to anticlimactic end to the battle we were to fight.

We voted to strike and got ignored just to be reminded we be on high alert then higher alert and highest alert.

The company making us their bitch and telling our leaders to take it by May 20th. This is the end period. This is the first time we have a date and non of this crap of soon. Now we know how the union loves to keep telling is to be ready but enough is enough. They had thier chance so let's just sign and say thank you sir.

What is the process for membership to demand a strike? Why if we had 87% in favor of striking are we allowing this horrific leadership to continue to ignore and screw us? What happened to standing up and fighting for ourselves? Isn't everyone tired of all the give-backs?

May 20th will come and go. Verizon will do nothing. The Union has not lost anything yet. Just a scare tactic into getting everyone to sign a bad contract.
