Wasn't on any of the local NYC news channels. Anyone show up?

We didn't show up because we sick of this union telling us to mobilize, picket, show support. bla bla bla. On top of the forced OT we don't have the time to donate time to useless picketing. Union needs to show us some support. At these rallys the leaders talk $hi+ then do $hi+

News reports were about 400. That's a pretty good sized crowd and people are getting tired of David always taking it in the wampum from Goliath.

600 if you counted everyone three times. This is why there will be no strike at all. This union lost its leverage a long time ago. All the members are sick of the same copy and past negotiation updates. Why would everyone show up when we are ignored anyways. Try calling and you will see you will be ignored as well

what a lame turnout. 600 my a$$, there weren't even 100. I remember rally's where it was considered light if it was less than 6000, and you would get a severe talking to, if you didn't show. Every steward used to keep an attendance list.. Such a shame. I know I'm showing my age, but most of those hired after 1980 have absolutely no heart. All the dedicated strong are sadly no more, we have only ourselves to blame for what we get.

1095 is the HQ again although most of the senior execs are in basking ridge new jersey where union is not allowed to play. most of 1095 is not verizon anymore but the company has really upped their redecorating.

"More than 600 CWA 1101 members rallied in front of 1095 Avenue of the Americas tonight to demand that Verizon negotiate a fair contract......." 1095 AofA was SOLD years ago. It is NOT a VZ headquarter (as the news and the union says) . They could not do it at 140 West( former VZ headquarters) (also SOLD) because of 1 world trade center NYC security perimeters

Looks like it was a pretty good turn out

I know more than a few 'former' managers that will be joining the picket lines should there be one.

11 people turned up, most were retirees. 4 of the retirees were ex att but they stayed when they were offered free coffee and a doughnut. It was a great success.
