We were shown a grid of the new store staffing model but I have yet to find it applied to any store. Any store I have talked with that should see changes to their structure based on the new model are being told that nothing changes. How many exceptions can their be? Any one else hearing/seeing the same??

New staffing model = salaried employees (mgr) works 60+ hours!!!!!!!
The work still needs to get done regardless of how big the staff.
Yea tell it to NYC Stores. Lots of good people gone this week. Darn shame and the never to be seen Regional gets to keep his Job
Are they right sizing for customer traffic? When your books are out of date and expensive, and when your "merchandise" looks like the JC merchandise down the street, and when staff is turning every quarter it's possible that there aren't enough out of area alum (the only remaining customer base) to keep any more employees. Of course the 2 employees stores are allowed to have are supposed to stay report compliant. So most of their day will be spent working to please HQ instead of finding new ways to please the campus. Swirling, cycling, swirling downward. It's beginning to feel cold. Should we go to the light?
Staffing model:
1 manager to open
1 manager to close
No other Follett employees.
Ask the employees from the Neebo acquisition how the whole "nothing changes" and "we need you" speech works. Someone needs to study up on some new rhetoric because the old stuff is getting a little worn out. Throw a drowning person an anchor why don't ya??
At least you were told about a new staffing model.
