It was more than a little skimpy. Once you are out the door they shave you for those who remain behind.
We live in a progressive tax system. Meaning, If you make 1k a week, you are normally taxed at the rate of 52k a year, however if with your STI, that paycheck is 10k, then for that pay period , your tax rate is based on 120k a year ( a higher tax bracket). It will even out to your true annual income bracket in your 2016 tax claim.
It would be nice if we just had a flat tax rate, but Thank you democrates
I saw the same thing. Performing at midyear. Less than a 100% payout even though I was on payroll through 12/31.
What was your last day on payroll? There is a stipulation that if you are not there for the whole year, the STI is cut to 67% and then prorated by the number of pay periods that you were employed.
Mine just showed up in my acct and it was about 60% of what it would normally be. I was Performing at Mid-year. Did the bonus get cut or did my old boss screw me over or is this some crazy tax thing. I know another guy got about the same percentage... I was told the payout was at 100% so this looks like they might be screwing over the folks they let go no matter how hard we worked to improve the Network last year...
